2021 Hook in: We will update this page when we have information about holding this event in person. In the meantime, please put a "Save the date" notice on your calendar for the first Saturday in June.

2020 Virtual Hook in from Home June 6, 2020

The first ever HCRAG Virtual Hook-in From Home is over. There were 50 participants, from as far away as Cape Cod to the north and the Carolinas to the south. Approximately half attended the Zoom meeting, and a few were able to hook with a friend while keeping social distance.

It was heartwarming to see the smiles, hear the laughter, and join in the small talk on the Zoom call. People held up (or aimed their phones and laptops at) their work. Appreciation of projects and brainstorming next steps followed. The funniest conversation was about hair - including using pet clippers to cut hair! It was like sitting at a big table where you could actually hear all the other people at the table chatting!

Two vendors participated in the Zoom call and it was very interesting hearing their experiences during this challenging time. Jan and Fred Cole (Wool'n Gardener) and Leanne Sitler (LC's Wool'n Silk) both had stories about the challenges of custom dying from a distance, dealing with Etsy issues, and just plain missing interacting in person with all of us!

At 1 PM we held the door prize drawing. The prizes and winners are: Wool'n Gardener - Sandra Francisco; Goat Hill Designs - Dee Rosebrock; Dianne Pearce, Basketmaker - Mary Passarello; The Wool Farm - Linda Hanneman; Wooly Dye Works - Nancy Phillips; Hooked in the Mountains - Barbara Lugg; LC's Wool'n Silk - Karen Paradise; Handmaiden Designs - Giselle Meader; Member-donated pattern on linen and Design book - Cheryl Halladay. Congratulations!

Hopefully we will all be together again in September. Have a great summer and thanks for joining our Hook-in!
